When You Don't Have Your Own Plan, You Become Part Of Another's Plan

Ever wondered why it's the unsuspecting who fall for most scams?

The guy on the street who knows very little about medicine and diseases ruins his health by trusting fraudulent quacks trying to make quick gain. It is the hardworking man with no proper financial investment plan who keeps falling for wonder banks. It is mostly the recent graduate with little corporate experience who falls for job scams. It is the guy with no police experience and connection who suffers most from police intimation/bullying. It is the youth who are most easily manipulated by politicians.

In one sentence, it is the guys with no solid plans of their own who get sucked into another man's (especially, a fraudster's) plan. They become a card in another man's dominoes.

No doctor who already takes his health seriously and has a plan towards a healthy life will make an impulse purchase by the roadside or believe there is drug that can cure everything. No professional will take an SMS invitation for a job interview from an unknown company for an unknown role seriously. No experienced Nigerian will let a police officer make him pee in his trouser. No man with responsibility will make himself the darts of a politician who is on a quest to hit a political bullseye.

When you don't have your own plans, people force their own agenda on you. Everything they say would look good to you. They would say crap and because you don't know any better, you would feel impressed and think you have nothing to lose. And it is that nothing-to-lose attitude that gets many people into trouble. What is there to lose in trying this new scheme? What is there to lose in showing up for the SMS interview invite? What is there to lose in clicking the "claim your win" link? What is there to lose in betting with N100? What is there to lose in trying that N200 wonder drug? What is there to lose in giving this or that a try?

And yes, you would see little to lose when there is no established plan you would be jeopardizing.

I can't suddenly take up a new job no matter the pay because I would be jeopardizing my business plan. I can't do many things on impulse because I have already set plans.
